Sometimes a problem can happen when you click to book online – we might have made a small error with a price, your mobile phone screen may be a little too small to see all of the information or you just can’t see what you’re looking for. So, we now include a simple –

If we have already taken a booking for the main farmhouse (Clanville Manor) for 12 people, the Tallet can be booked separately.

Group Accommodation
Now available for up to 22 people!
With our three different properties, at Clanville Manor we can offer accommodation for groups with any number of people up to 22 in total, plus cots for babies!
Yes, we can accommodate up to 22 plus cots in our self-catering. We have recommended caterers for your pre-wedding evening meal. Feed the young ones early, put them to bed (baby alarms available) and relax in the comfort of your own dining room and drawing room; no taxis, babysitters or expensive meals and drinks! The rate works out at about £40 pppn for a three night weekend

Clanville Manor sleeps 10/14 in five ensuite bedrooms plus a downstairs sofa bed:-
Room 1: a double room with five foot wide sleigh bed (sleeps 2)
Room 2: a single room. (sleeps 1)
Room 3: a large room with a six-foot wide four poster bed & a pull out bed (Sleeps up to 3)
Room 4: a large room with twin beds that can be linked together to form a ‘superking’ six foot double, a third single bed and a ‘pull out bed’ (sleeps up to 4)
Room 5: a room with twin beds that can be linked to form a six foot double. (Sleeps 2)
We also have a single/small double (3’9″ wide) sofa bed in the garden room! Whoever sleeps on this has access to the downstairs shower room, and there is a ‘futon’ style small bed on the landing.
The Tallet Holiday Cottage is situated adjacent to Clanville Manor. It has a double room with six foot wide bed, a bunk bed room plus full sitting, dining and kitchen facilities. A Z bed is available in this cottage. (Sleeps up to 5)
Lone Oak Cottage (at the end of the drive) has two double rooms, one of which has an ensuite shower room, a twin room (sleeps up to 6)
There are cots and highchairs in all properties.

Heated Outdoor Swimming Pool for all Guests at Clanville Manor
We regularly check and maintain our heated outdoor pool so that our guests can enjoy swimming whilst on holiday during the summer months. The pool water is also monitored by the local Environmental Health Department.
The heated outdoor pool is available from the beginning of June until the end of August. If the weather is brilliant at the end of May we try to open it as soon as possible. Each self-catering property has private time for pool use; if you book all three properties you have exclusive use of the pool from 8am until 10pm.

‘We’re Visiting Somerset and Bringing our Pet’
If you have a guide or assistance dog we can make the necessary arrangements for them.
However, other than this we don’t accept guests’ pets.

Pets are not allowed in either the B&B or in the self-catering accommodation (except assistance dogs). Please ask for details of local kennels nearby where you may leave your dog.
You may walk in the fields and along the riverbank and there is a shallow area of the river for paddling and ‘dam building’. All children must be with an adult and Rob or Sally will discuss access arrangements which depend on grazing animals and/or hay or silage mowing. Egg collecting and ‘farm tours’ are often the parts of the holiday most enjoyed by the children – and adults too! Sally will discuss these with you when you arrive. Children must not be allowed into the farmyard at any time without Rob or Sally.
Yes – all eggs served at Clanville Manor B&B at breakfast time are provided by the farm’s own hens and we usually supply a complimentary half dozen eggs in the cottages. Children staying for self-catering can help Sally on an ‘egg hunt’ or feed the hens, which is always a popular activity.
Yes – free range eggs are for sale whenever they are available.

Families with Children are Welcome in Clanville Manor self-catering properties

If you are looking for family friendly self-catering accommodation in Somerset, you have found it! Children will love the countryside surroundings here, there are both indoor toys and outdoor play areas to discover – and smaller children might like to join Sally on an ‘egg hunt’ when you return from your day out.

Family Holidays – are very popular here, with a safe outdoor play area and many other features to make Clanville Manor particularly suitable for families with young children.
Self Catering accommodation has four stars from the AA. The B&B, having been inspected at the highest level by the AA and Visit Britain, is no longer officially recognised but we maintain the high standards as we have for 17 years!
Credit/business debit (2% surcharge) and personal debit cards are accepted – Mastercard, Visa, Switch, Delta and Maestro. BACS transfer is also possible-please ask for details.
Parking is easy at Clanville Manor – there is ample parking for vehicles [at both of the cottages and at the Farmhouse].
Clanville Manor is a totally non smoking establishment. Smoking is not permitted in either of the cottages or in the farmhouse when let for self-catering or B&B. You may smoke in the garden but please consider the comfort of other guests. Smoking in any of our properties will trigger fire alarms.
12 in Clanville Manor; 4 in The Tallet & 4 in Lone Oak, but in each property one of the double beds is 6 foot wide and can easily sleep two friends with plenty of space if you have a larger party!
Yes – in Castle Cary there are good quality butchers, delicatessens, shops, a Chinese take away, 2 fish and chip shops, and a Thai restaurant. There are a number of other pubs and restaurants within the locality. Please ask for an up to date list of pubs and restaurants so that you can book before your stay.
In 2013 Clanville Manor will be available for B&B guests from 7th January to 24th March, 15th April to 2nd May, weekdays from 6-23rd May and from mid September. Minimum stays may apply. At other times the farmhouse will be let for self-catering.
Clanville Manor has four bedrooms – one with a six foot wide four-poster double bed; one with a king-size double bed; one that can be either a twin or super king-size double room; and one with a single bed. Up to six guests can be accommodated at any one time.
Yes – all bedrooms are well equipped, with private en-suite facilities, a flat screen television with Freeview channels, radio, alarm clock, hairdryer, tea and coffee making facilities. Please see –

Tallet guests can order a plate of Full English Breakfast to be delivered to their cottage when the B&B is open.
