Information About Glastonbury...
Although Somerset's famous festival is known as the Glastonbury Festival, it is staged at Pilton, 6.5 miles from Glastonbury and 8 miles from Clanville Manor. Book early for 2010! Clanville Manor is near enough to be convenient but far enough to be a quiet place to stay off-site during the Festival. For B&B guests, we offer a later breakfast. You can then go back to bed or relax by the pool until mid afternoon before returning to Pilton, refreshed and ready for a night of music! There is no 'curfew' so you can return as late as you like!
If staying at Clanville Manor, the best option for transport to and from the Festival is by car, for which you will need a pass (see the information page on the Glastonbury Festivals website).
There is a shuttle bus from Castle Cary station 1 mile from Clanville Manor at the beginning and end of the Festival, so why not stay here before or after the main event to avoid the rush?
Coming to the area by car and camping for the main event? Enquire about our 'Stay, park, camp and relax' package. This includes B&B on the Tuesday or Wednesday before the Festival, leave your car here and catch the shuttle bus to Pilton, enjoy the rigours of camping over the weekend then return for another night B&B on the Monday. You can clean up, relax by the pool and avoid the traffic jams! This is £45 per person per night B&B (minimum 2 nights) with free parking during the Festival.
