Rob is the fourth generation of Snooks to farm here since 1898 when his great-grandfather bought the farm.
The dairy herd were sold in 2003 and Rob now runs the farm almost single handedly, rearing mainly Limousin cross beef cattle, most of which is sold locally to Andrew Barclay, Butcher of Wincanton and Ashley Maunder at Kingweston Farm Shop.
He rears the cows individually and the herd has a reputation for being extremely quiet and easy to handle because they are subjected to as little stress as possible.
Sally qualified as an SRN in London and was a Theatre Nurse whilst bringing up her two sons who are now in their thirties. She started running the B&B and the first self-catering cottage in 1996 and ran the B&B for 18 years before closing it in 2013. Self-catering is still available in The Tallet and Lone Oak
